During 3 week wait for approval from BSA: Online Leader Specific Training, Read Guide to Safe Scouting, Cub Scout Den Meeting Program Planning Sheet, Read Cub Scout section of the LDS green Scouting booklet, Age-Appropriate Guidelines for Scout Activities Chart, and Cub Leader Book (which wil answer about any question you have about a well-run pack: cub scouting how-tos, expectations, and policies).
After approval has been received: Become very familiar with Den Meeting Planning Guide (Wolf, Bear, Webelos, Arrow of Light), Program Handbook (Wolf, Bear,or Webelos) with Pack Tracking Sheet, Cub Scout Leader How-To Book (2014 edition), Cub Scout Ceremonies for Dens and Packs (at least watch this YouTube video of an LDS cub pack explaining the ins and outs of a flag ceremony), Cub Scout Sports and Academic Belt Loop Program
Once per position: Attend either a District or Council 3-hour Basic Training and Leader Specific Training (check "Upcoming Training" tab on home page)
Webelos leaders require: OWL (Outdoor Webelos Leader)
Once Annually: Baden Powell University (Nov)
Highly Recommended Trainings: (may be done as soon as YPT is complete)
Hazardous Weather (one attending leader must be trained with this for tour permit)
BALOO (Basic Adult Leader Outdoor Orientation, especially for Webelos Leaders)
Akela's Council (focuses on Cub Scout program - for ALL, incl. Primary Councilors)
Woodbadge (focuses on Leadership - for ALL, especially CORs)
Every 2 Years: Retake Youth Protection Training
